Accident seems to be one of the worst enemies of man’s freedom and dignity. Nevertheless, I would like to put in a good word here for accident, and for its results. Am I then speaking against man’s freedom and dignity? By no means. It is just that I think it would be a sign of deficiency of freedom if man were to live undignifiedly beyond his means: beyond the means, that is, of his finite nature. If he chooses not to do this, he has to acknowledge the results of accident, by a defense of the accidental.

Most common causes of hunting accidents:

• Nate Greely moved into the shooter’s line of fire
• Travis Shettel was covered by the shooter who was swinging on game
• Aaron Stuart was out of sight of the shooter
• Brandon Jay was mistaken for game (failure to identify target)

Cause/Circumstance- Shooter heard and saw what he thought was a turkey in front of him. He shot once and heard his friend yell. Victim was at a distance of 46 yards. Both dressed in cam.

Cause/Circumstance- Arlo breaks up. Piebald breaks up. A new band starts in a garage. 2 shows and 9 songs to their credit. You are the victim. Dressed in cam.
